In 1983, Embrace Home Loans was little more than four phones and a typewriter and operating under a different brand - Advanced Financial Services. Since then, Embrace Home Loans has grown into a full-service mortgage banker, employing 550 people spread over 20 offices nationwide.

Last year, Embrace originated $2.00 billion in loans for 15,000 customers. Embrace is an approved Seller/Servicer of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans, approved by HUD for FHA, approved by VA, approved as an issuer of Ginnie Mae securities, and is an active member in the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).

For the past five consecutive years, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, & 2006, Embrace has been ranked among “The Best Places to Work in Rhode Island” (by the Rhode Island Society of Human Resource Management, and the Great Place to Work Group); the award was underwritten by the Providence Business News, which also bestowed Embrace with a “Business Excellence Award” for community involvement. In 2009, 2008, 2007, 2005 & 2004, Embrace was selected as one of the “50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America”, (by the Society of Human Resource Management and The Great Place to Work Institute).
